METZ CONNECT has expanded its range of modular PCB connectors in the M12 series to include D-coded variants in accordance with DIN EN 61076-2-101. The connectors are suitable for up to 100 Mbit and can therefore be used for data transmission with all common Ethernet protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Sercos, Powerlink, etc. Similar to the X-coded PCB sockets, the products are available in various forms depending on the installation situation and application. They are available as front panel and rear panel mountings, fully assembled (MMT361A115 and MMT371A115) or as kits (MMT361A115-0001 and MMT371A115-0001). For use in industrial environments, there are variants that meet IP67 sealing requirements when unplugged (MMT361A115-0009 and MMT371A115-0009). For high-volume device manufacturing and PCB assembly according to the latest manufacturing knowledge, the MMT060A115 PCB inserts are also available as a variant on tape on reel with a Kapton plate as an assembly aid (MMT060A1150-G2). Standard 15-inch reels with 160 pieces per reel are used. A major advantage of this product family is that all PCB sockets and inserts (D- and X-coded) have the same height and can be used in combination on a PCB (printed circuit board). In addition, the PCB sockets have a locking mechanism that holds them securely and reliably in the housing or flange, eliminating the need for additional fixing of the PCB in the housing. This PCB socket automatically expands the range of switch cabinet feed-throughs. In the same fully shielded metal housing, it is now also possible to route 2-pair systems from an IP20 environment to an IP67 environment, which in terms of connectors means RJ45 to M12 D-coded. These products are available in straight and angled versions (MWN811A115 and MWN911A115).

Rupture Disc and Safety Valve
Rupture discs and safety valves can be combined in two different configurations: The rupture disc can be installed below the safety valve or the two pressure relief systems installed prallel. If the systems are installed next to each other, the response pressure of the rupture disc is higher than that of the safety valve. If the rise in pressure is so large and rapid that the safety valve cannot respond sufficiently quickly or if it fails to open, the rupture disc serves as a reliable backup system to relieve the pressure. If the rupture disc is installed below the safety valve it can perform a number of roles.

S-DIAS
Control and I/O system in pocket format S-DIAS combines the highest package density with high performance, mechanical stability and comfortable handling. Up to 20 channels are packed into one I/O module. The right DIN rail module is available for any automation task. CPU, motion and Safety modules (TÜV certified) are also obtainable in S-DIAS format.

S-DIAS Safety
Fully integrated or stand-alone Thin, flexible and cost-optimized – that is the S-DIAS Safety system. The modular Safety solution for the DIN rail consists of a Safety controller (SCP), which monitors or controls the application and the corresponding Safe I/O modules.

Safety Controller - Flexi Net
Powerful safety controller for stationary and mobile applications Flexi Net is the powerful safety controller up to PL e for modern machines and networked plants. The scalable control architecture enables CPU expansion by up to twelve modules, such as Flexi IOs and gateways, as well as the networking of several machines in a production line. Flexi Net provides the ability to configure up to 512 function blocks in the logic, especially for complex applications. TÜV-certified modules make engineering much easier. Cycle times of just 4 ms underscore the performance of Flexi Net. Sensors can be flexibly integrated into the safety controller – also via EFI pro and Flexi Loop. Safe Motion via integrated HTL inputs and application-specific function blocks also meets the requirements of mobile robots.

Safety encoders for mobile machines

SAFETY FIELDBOX PN/EIP/EC
The safety fieldbox allows for simple connection of up to eight safety switchgear devices with Plug and Play. The universal device interfaces for 8-pole M12 connectors allow for connection of a wide range of safety switchgear devices, including electronic and electromechanical solenoid interlocks, sensors, control panels, light curtains and switches. The version for 8-pole connectors enables connection of 2 safety inputs, 2 test pulse outputs, 1 safety output (internal 2-channel), 1 digital input for diagnostic signals as well as the power supply to connected safety switchgear devices. This enables transmission of locking device activation signals on solenoid interlocks, alongside safety signals and diagnostic signals. The signals are transmitted for evaluation to the safety controller via the safety fieldbus interface. This communication is safe against modifications, changes to the telegram sequence, transmission errors, etc. Parallel transmission of safety signals enables free evaluation of safety switchgear devices in the safety controller.
