Precise & convenient: radar level sensor with IO-Link

Time for a thought experiment: imagine a radar sensor for level measurement, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and everything you need for everyday use. Now, place this radar sensor in the palm of your hand... Impossible, you say? We beg to differ – and not just in theory, but in reality. Introducing our palm-sized LW radar sensor: a solid, precision-engineered silver compact, reduced to the absolute essentials, yet fully capable of competing with – and even outperforming – the “big players” in its field.

    3. Precision Hinges

      Precision Hinges

New Hinge Generation for Precise Movements The new precision hinges from Hanser – available in many different versions – are wear resistant while delivering extreme precision and exhibiting zero backlash. Certain applications, such as in jig construction, automation systems or testing systems, require moving elements supported by extremely precise bearings. In concrete terms, this means a combination of maximum repeatability, zero backlash, long service life and adjustability. These are exactly the properties of the new precision hinges GN 7580, which might be more accurately referred to as joints. Of course, the Hanser portfolio already contains many different hinge versions, but these new products are generally suited to a unique range of applications. Facing increased demand for extremely precise pivot bearings, Hanser decided to design optimal solutions to fill this gap. The GN 7580 family consists of three size variants, each with four inner and outer leaf types. The leaves differ in turn by the type of mounting, which can be tangential or radial and make use of countersunk cylindrical bores or integrated threaded bushings of stainless steel. Plus, Hanser put thought into ensuring simple and positionally accurate mounting: The fitting bores ensure exact positioning of the hinges during installation. The four leaf types are designed to be mutually compatible and can be used together as needed in any combination. As usual with Hanser, they can even be ordered separately via specific article numbers. This ensures that the precision hinges cover a very wide range of applications. In general, Hanser supplies the precision hinges pre-assembled according to the customer-specific configuration. Find out more online at: hanser.ch

    4. Precision medium pump

      Precision medium pump

The SOMA precision medium pump (PMP) offers standard, intelligent pressure relief when supplying lubricants in industrial production processes. Based on the scoop piston principle with a very low transmission ratio, the SOMA PMP precision medium pump gently supplies your lubricant application with medium. The special follower plate geometry ensures fast venting with very low losses. A safety PLC in accordance with the Machinery Directive and a digital interface to a higher-level control system provides a safe and controllable process at all times.

    5. Precision-Couplings

      Precision-Couplings

PRECISE AND BACKLASH FREE: R+W PRECISION COUPLINGS High performance motion systems can place challenging demands on connecting elements like shaft couplings. Among other things, they need to withstand dynamic motion and large variations in drive torque while transferring rotation precisely. Couplings are also commonly asked to protect other system components from vibration and torque overload. Beyond this is the trend toward increasingly compact sizes and energy efficient drive components: Transmissions in particular are becoming smaller since compact machines with lighter components save money. To this end, the use of precision couplings over other traditional coupling types can be advantageous, due in part to their superior torque density. As an expert manufacturer of precision couplings, R+W can provide solutions for just about any application, harmonizing requirements for high speed and high precision in motion transfer. Companies operate their systems with assurance of process reliability and efficiency when it comes to their use of R+W precision couplings. R+W offers a wide variety of precision coupling products, ranging from off the shelf standard items to fully customized units, based on collaboration with the customer from concept to delivery.

    6. Pressure balance element with membrane of A4 stainless steel

Pressure balance element with membrane of A4 stainless steel

The impact-resistant innovation with high-performance membrane. The clever, compact and innovative solution prevents pressure differences, temperature fluctuations and condensation in electrical and electronic housings. AGRO’s new, innovative pressure balance element facilitates quick and reliable air exchange and ensures the housing stays dry inside. Whether traffic control and signalling technology, street lighting, railway vehicles, distributor housings for energy distribution, or solar energy systems: they must all withstand wind and weather, heat and rain. The same applies to their electronics and electrics. Air pressure, temperature and humidity are constantly changing. Sealed housings are never completely sealed. Many electrotechnical housings are watertight and dust-tight (IP 68) but not gas-tight. Changing temperatures can thus produce a pressure difference, causing air exchange. This leads to condensation, which can result in corrosion and defects/malfunctions. This is prevented by installing AGRO pressure balance elements. AGRO has developed a new, innovative pressure balance element of A4 stainless steel (EN 1.4404 / AISI 316L) for use in stainless housings (patent pending), which is unsurpassed in terms of robustness and offers the highest impact resistance in accordance with IEC EN 62262, Class IK10. High-quality materials combined with innovative design A high-performance membrane ensures rapid, reliable air exchange with outstanding flow rates. It is made of PTFE (polyterafluoroethylene) and has pores that are bigger than water vapour molecules but smaller than water droplets. The water- and oil-repellent membrane offers a very high degree of protection: IP66 / IP68 (0.5bar/1h) / IP69 / IP6K9K. The wide temperature range, from -40 °C to +150 °C, is another highlight of the new pressure balance element. The product features an M12x1.5 entry thread. The membrane is RoHS- and REACH-compliant, and free of PFOA and PFOS.

    7. Pressure balance elements

      Pressure balance elements

As a result of warming, from either the sun’s radiation or the enclosed electronics, pressure differences develop between the housing and its surrounding environment, which result in the transfer of air from one to the other. Air drawn into the housing carries moisture, which condenses when the temperature drops below the dew point. The water which is now trapped in the enclosure can lead to corrosion and equipment failures. To prevent pressure differences, high humidity and condensation of water in the housing, constant balancing of pressure and Exchange of air is needed. The use of AGRO pressure balance elements in electrical and electronics housings allows efficient pressure balance and ventilation, and if necessary, drainage. A new pressure balance element for increased safety Ex e II with membrane is now available.
