
KOSMEK High Power Swing and Link Clamps
Kosmek has been a technological market leader for decades in a variety of areas: products for casting processes, machining and automation. These products are under the protection of 360 national and international patents. The ‘intelligence’ of these components makes it easier for manufacturing companies to make production processes more flexible and further automated. This in turn creates new engineering designs, economic savings and CO2 reduction. ‘High-Power Technology’: A big leap forward for machining has been made possible by an application patented by Kosmek for a simple but effective mechanism. This ‘high-power’ patent uses a force boost via ramps incorporated into the piston. In the ideal situation, this force increase triples the force applied by hydraulics or pneumatics. On the other hand, it is also possible to apply a smaller size for the same force and use the freed space for larger workpieces. A positive side effect is that this application also provides mechanical locking, allowing pneumatic cylinders to exert holding forces even without pressure. When working against the cylinder, on a high-power version, the holding force is up to seven times greater than the original pneumatic or hydraulic force applied. With Kosmek's solution, when the lever yields and the cylinder retracts, the clamping and holding force is maintained. This can happen, for example, if a rough casting surface yields during machining due to high forces. When this is taken into account during machining, it creates unprecedented new possibilities, such as machining against the clamping lever, higher feed speeds and larger tools, or five-sided machining with only one clamping. This technology is used throughout Kosmek's product range. Kosmek's high-power products are smaller, lighter, stronger and maintenance-free, saving on initial costs and energy costs.

KOSMEK High speed compact pneumatic clamp series
A new generation of pneumatic work holding clamps has been developed by KOSMEK. High speed, high rigidity, long life and high accuracy with a powerful mechanism and at the same time the smallest range of work holding clamps in the world! Our exclusive dust seal is designed to protect against high pressure coolant. It also has high resistance to chlorine-based coolant by using a sealing material with excellent chemical resistance. The clamp's locked and unlocked positions can be detected by an auto switch. The high-speed pneumatic clamps are available in three different models: • Swing clamps WHC, which are fast and precise with a clamping repeatability of ±0.5 degrees due to a 3-steel-ball mechanism. • Compact cylinders with integrated link mechanism WCC where the clamp lever can be released vertically for easy loading and unloading. • Lever Retracted link clamps WFC to avoid interference during workpiece loading/unloading, the compact lever operating range enables clamping of difficult clamping points.

KOSMEK parallel gripper with autogrip changer WPW
The gripper fingers of the WPW are automatically interchangeable, so that a single gripper can handle a greater variety of workpieces. Where several grippers were previously required for different workpieces, one gripper can now handle different workpieces. The number of grippers is reduced and expensive robot couplings are avoided. The gripper fingers can be changed one after the other under pneumatic control. No air supply to the gripper fingers is required during operation. The repeat accuracy of the gripper change is ±0.05 mm. Clamping and release monitoring via read sensors is integrated, the gripping force is up to 1200N. In addition, KOSMEK offers the patented miniature high power parallel gripper WPS, probably the strongest gripper of its size. Holding force at 0 bar included!

KOSMEK pneumatic leakless coupler JWC/JWD
The KOSMEK JWC/JWD pneumatic leakless couplers maintain the air pressure in the clamping circuit when the workpiece carrier is disconnected from the pressure supply. It is not necessary to supply the pressure via air hoses or a pressure source during the pallet change. A coupling stroke of just 1 mm with an offset of ± 0.5 mm enables the couplings to be brought together easily and facilitates the "teaching" of a robot.

KOSMEK Smart Series
With the Smart Series, KOSMEK has launched a completely new concept and unique products for automation. The KOSMEK Smart Series products offer solutions for various challenges such as energy saving (no hydraulic/air pressure, no drive source), all-electric systems, CO2 neutrality, SDGs, etc. KOSMEK Smart Series products can be powered by any energy source: pneumatic, electric, mechanical - automated or manual. They are space-saving and can be used in large quantities with minimal energy consumption (e.g. rotary indexing systems, semi-automatic or manually operated devices, etc.). Zero-point clamping system KSL Enables simple pallet changes with a repeatability of 0.01 mm. Hole clamp KSH The individual grippers of the clamping head clamp the workpiece in the borehole. Ideal for 5-sided inspection or machining. For workpiece hole diameters from 6 mm to 10 mm. Ball clamping cylinder KSA Secures the transport of workpiece carriers / pallets with a steel ball locking mechanism and prevents them from falling. Holding force: 50N Swing clamp KSS The swing arm swivels over the workpiece and lowers vertically for clamping. This makes loading and unloading easier. The repeatability of the swing lever position is ±1°. Lever clamp KSR With the KSR lever clamp, the clamping lever is fully retracted when unclamped, making it easier to load and unload workpieces. Clamping points that are difficult to access can be reached more easily. Clamping force up to 100N. Centering vice KSC It clamps and centers the workpiece with a repeatability of 0.01 mm, the clamping force is up to 200N.

KOSMEK welding and locating pin clamp SWP
The KOSMEK Pin Clamp SWP enables high-precision positioning and clamping of thin workpieces (e.g. sheet metal) in a single operation. The expansion of the clamping jaws positions the workpieces in relation to each other (±0.025 mm) and the pull-down mechanism guarantees reliable clamping forces without deflection or deformation. The large stroke of up to 8 mm facilitates positioning and clamping of different workpiece thicknesses. Tolerances in the bore position are compensated for by using floating mandrels. When used as a robot gripper, the sufficient distance between the clamping mandrel and the workpiece bore in the released state enables problem-free loading and unloading by robots. The KOSMEK Pin Clamp SWP was developed for the toughest applications. The special non-stick coating of the body and the mandrel prevents the adhesion of dirt such as welding dust or drops. Clamped and unclamped monitoring via read sensors is integrated, as is a blow-out function that prevents dirt and dust from entering the clamping body. The compact and lightweight KOSMEK Pin Clamp is therefore ideal for spot welding with a robot. KOSMEK offers a wide range of diameters up to 20 mm. The holding force at 0bar opens up further application possibilities and protects the components from falling in the event of pressure loss.
