    3. Sealing technology

      Sealing technology

Seals play a crucial role in a wide range of industries. From the automotive industry to food processing right through to power generation. In a dynamic environment where precision and efficiency are essential, sealing technology offers solutions to prevent leaks, minimise contamination of the sealing system and ensure smooth operational processes. Seals made of elastomers, polyurethanes and thermoplastics are becoming increasingly popular in many areas of industry, often as early as the design phase. The main task of seals is to prevent unwanted media transitions and to exclude contamination of the sealing system. In order to provide customers with optimum support, a great deal of experience is required when designing a seal, taking into account a wide range of factors: from operating media, pressures and temperatures to speeds, surfaces and the right choice of material. Industrial applications are becoming increasingly demanding. For example, protection against product contamination by foreign particles is a top priority. Certified materials, for example for O-rings or flat gaskets such as FDA, EU 1935/2004, USP Ch. 87 + Ch. 88 - Class VI, DVGW, 3-A Sanitary Standard, drinking water approval, etc., can significantly minimise economic risks.

Depending on the application, mta combines the right soldering technology — iron, induction or laser — with flexible robot platforms and precise process control. The result is improved quality, greater consistency, reduced operator dependency and higher throughput. Compact, modular and built for industrial use, mta selective soldering solutions help manufacturers increase process stability and move confidently from manual operations to efficient automation.

    5. Self-Latching Thanks to Chamfered Pin

      Self-Latching Thanks to Chamfered Pin

Hanser’s indexing plunger selection is extremely diverse. And yet the standard parts experts continue to find new functional niches to fill: indexing plungers with chamfered pins. They are nearly universal elements that can be found anywhere that latching, locking and securing is required: indexing plungers. Despite the diverse range of types and dimensions, they previously all had one thing in common: The latching process typically makes use of a cylindrical hole that is aligned with the plunger pin, allowing the pin to engage without difficulty. For example, when a carriage travels past a latching hole. But there are also cases in which only an edge or a groove must suffice for latching, and it may not even be precisely positioned relative to the plunger pin. For such situations, Hanser has now developed a new type of indexing plunger that can independently latch into edges and grooves. This is made possible by a chamfered plunger pin. When the chamfered pin encounters a raised latching geometry, it retracts and then springs back out again once it reaches the latching point. Find out more online at: hanser.ch

    9. Sensorless standstill monitor UG 9146

      Sensorless standstill monitor UG 9146

Sensorless standstill monitoring The sensorless standstill monitor UG 9146 from the VARIMETER series is used for sensorless monitoring of electric motors for standstill. This means sensors such as encoders or proximity switches are not required. The standstill monitor measures the induced voltage of the coasting motor. If the induced voltage approaches 0, this means motor standstill for the device and the output relay is activated. With a width of only 22.5 mm, the UG 9146 can be installed in switch cabinets with limited space as well as in retrofit applications. - Simple retrofitting as sensorless - No external initiators required - Space-saving in the switch cabinet due to a width of only 22.5 mm
