classmate CAD - Automatic classification of 3D CAD models

With classmate CAD you reduce your design effort and bring order into your parts management. The software analyzes and classifies 3D models and geometry information independently and fully automatically. classmate CAD is interesting for all companies, in which - common CAD systems such as Autodesk® Inventor®, SolidWorks, Solid Edge, PTC Creo Parametric or Siemens PLM Software NX are used, - design engineers are to be relieved, - flexible options for searching and finding existing CAD data are required and - the reuse rate of components is to be significantly increased. Fully automatic classification: classmate CAD is patented and works as a complement to existing software solutions in your company. The fully automatic geometric classification and indexing of 3D CAD models for similar part search is integrated into the existing CAD software. classmate CAD automatically fills the class-specific feature lists with the determined values and creates 2D and 3D preview formats for illustration.

    2. classmate PLAN

      classmate PLAN

Cost calculation at design stage. Up to 80 percent of the manufacturing costs of products are already determined during development. With our software, you know exactly how high these are: All geometric and topological information is taken directly from your 3D CAD model and automatically analyzed. In seconds, the software determines routings, calculates production costs and detects cost drivers at an early stage. The basis for the calculation is an intelligent combination of many years of experience and the individual cost factors of your company.

    5. Clever Closure

      Clever Closure

Ball catches and magnetic catches for simple but effective closure. So often it is the small elements that make the critical difference for design and usability. Without a doubt this includes ball catches and magnetic catches that – although unseen – can significantly optimize a machine, fixture or installation in qualitative terms. This is particularly the case when flaps, covers or doors need to offer quick access but still remain securely closed. Ball catches of the series GN 4490 offer a very elegant and space-saving way to meet these requirements. The mounting block attached to the moving element engages in the ball catch precisely between the two spring-loaded balls for a positive and non-positive connection. Depending on the size and version, retaining force is between 25 and 150 Newtons. Both parts can be variably positioned, oriented either horizontally or vertically and with engagement from the front or the side. The ball catches are available in a variety of types and with various fastening options using threads or countersunk holes. If the installation situation does not permit the desired positioning, such as for mounting on aluminum profiles, this problem can be easily solved with mounting plates for ball housings GN 4490.1 or with mounting plates for mounting blocks GN 4490.2. 6. CMA – Coupling module with manual control

CMA – Coupling module with manual control

The CMA coupling modules have been specially developed for use in modern building automation and industrial systems and enable reliable manual operation of individual function groups. They support commissioning and maintenance by allowing components such as valves or pumps to be tested and controlled selectively without an active control system. This facilitates troubleshooting and system balancing, and ensures continued operation even in the event of a control system failure. Furthermore, they enable safe switching between automatic and manual operation and provide feedback on the current operating status at all times.

    8. COAX® technology

      COAX® technology

Piab vacuum pumps/generators are predominately based on the patented COAX® technology. COAX® is an advanced solution for creating vacuum with compressed air. Based on Piab’s multistage technology, COAX® cartridges are smaller, more efficient and more reliable than conventional ejectors, which allow for the design of a flexible, modular and efficient vacuum system. A vacuum system based on COAX® technology can provide you with three times more vacuum flow than conventional systems, allowing you to increase speed with high reliability while reducing energy consumption. COAX® cartridges exist in several sizes (MIDI, MINI & MICRO) and models (Bi, Pi, Si, Ti & Xi), making them suitable for every application. The technology ensures excellent performance at both low and high feed pressures. Pumps based on COAX® technology can operate within the feed pressure range of 0.17 to 0.60 MPa.
