      Big step towards data-driven maintenance

Schöck Bauteile GmbH, based in Baden-Baden, is an internationally operating company with over 900 employees specializing in innovative construction solutions for preventing thermal bridges and improving construction quality. As part of its digitalization strategy, Schöck has been using SAP PM for the structured planning and documentation of maintenance measures since 2017. In 2022, SAP MM was also integrated for spare parts logistics. However, the SAP processes were only available via stationary PC workstations – a hindrance for mobile maintenance technicians. To resolve this bottleneck, Schöck decided to introduce the argvis; Maintenance Portal in 2024. The goal was to increase employee efficiency, improve data quality, and establish robust reporting. After an intensive market analysis, the company chose argvis because of its solution's compelling SAP standard interface, individual adaptability, choice of operation (cloud or remote), and compelling cost-benefit ratio. The project progressed quickly: From contract signing to go-live, only ten weeks passed. Today, ten foremen and master technicians, twelve maintenance technicians, and four other maintenance colleagues in Baden-Baden use the system on their mobile devices – for notification recording, documentation, material retrieval, and evaluations. The advantages: more precise feedback, time savings, better documentation, and optimized task allocation via the planning board. Rollout to additional plants in Essen and Halle is planned for 2025. The conclusion: The introduction of the argvis; Maintenance Portal takes Schöck a major step further on the path to data-driven maintenance – with tangible added value for employees and management.
