Thermography for proactive maintenance

TControl systems today are just as important as the drives themselves. A fault in a control cabinet typically causes the same production downtime as a malfunctioning electric motor. But how can faults in a control cabinet be detected preventively?
Thermography provides an effective tool: when a fault begins to develop in an electrical component, it often results in above-average heating of that component. Even after the first thermographic scan, potential weak points can be identified and corrected.
