Radial and axial shaft seals, mechanical seals

The sealing of a moving shaft presents a special situation. In addition to the static sealing on one side of the seal, we have to seal the moving shaft. According to the installation, the sealing can be made radially or axially. The proper seals have to be deployed in this complex requirement. Possible seals range from simple shaft seals until compression loadable PTFE lip seals or mechanical seals.
