Pulsarlube Mi, an automatic lubricator, is innovatively designed to monitor the operation of industrial lathes using a piezoelectric vibration sensor. This piezoelectric sensor consists of a ceramic strain gauge and is attached to a metallic test mass to respond to acceleration.
The Pulsarlube Mi periodically checks the operating status of the connected machine. As soon as the Pulsarlube Mi receives a vibration signal from the machine, the Mi dispenses a sufficient amount of fresh lubricant in accordance with the machine’s vibration level. If the machine no longer emits a vibration signal, the Mi automatically shuts down to prevent overlubrication.
