In spring 2022, Siempelkamp introduced Scable’s maintenance software to structure and digitize the processes in the machine factory.
Easy operation and quick introduction of the maintenance software are key
In addition to the software’s ease of use, the promise of quick implementation of the software was also a criterion in the decision to use Scable. The latter was successful, as the software was put into operation after just a few weeks in July 2022.
A main reason for this quick start was the gradual implementation of the individual functions of the Scable software. The company initially started with the basic module, reactive and preventive maintenance. This already includes a reporting system, task distribution, maintenance plans and documentation.
Reduction in Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) by 46%
The efficiency improvements were already visible in the first year. “We were able to reduce our unplanned downtime by 39% within a year,” summarizes Dennis Haefs, Head of Maintenance. The mean time to repair (MTTR), the average time between the occurrence of the fault and the restoration of the system, was reduced by 46%.
