As a long-established company in the field of drive technology, René Baer AG has been supporting its customers for over 60 years with high-quality products that ensure smooth and cost-optimised production. René Baer AG has been part of the BLÄSSINGER GROUP since 2014. Our engineers, technicians and product managers are distinguished by their in-depth specialist knowledge and many years of experience: we provide brand-independent, expert advice tailored to your individual needs – ensuring you receive the right product for every application at the right time.
Our product portfolio has expanded significantly following the integration of René Baer AG into the family-owned and managed trading company Josef Blässinger GmbH + Co. KG: In addition to our existing range of drive technology products, we now also offer linear technology, rolling bearings, miniature bearings, sealing technology, lubrication systems, joining and adhesive products, as well as tools and assemblies.
You also benefit from more than 95 years of experience from the traditional family-run company Blässinger, which has access to approximately 1,900 suppliers and a range of over 220,000 items. Power Transmission
There’s no motion without drive – No success without performance. Companies need high-performance machines to ensure their production processes run smoothly. As well as the right roller bearings and the best seals to achieve this, they also need the right power transmission. Our product range includes various V-belts, timing belts, tension pulleys, timing and V-belt pulleys, taper bushes, chains, sprockets, couplings up to spur gears – everything to do with power transmission. We supply both standard DIN parts and specially manufactured products based on drawings. We also offer complete drive systems to cater for almost any application. Be it a coupling, chain or belt drive, it is important that each component meets the specified requirements for fast and precise power transmission. Miniature bearings

Linear technology
Do you need a size 1 profile rail guide for precision engineering? Or a size 300 guide for the property sector? Or perhaps a linear module 27 metres long? You’ll find all of this in our linear technology range. We provide the right product for every application. We assemble linear technology products in our machining centre within a day, tailored to our customers’ requirements. These requirements are constantly changing, as linear technology is used in a wide variety of applications. These range from heavy-duty mechanical engineering to handling systems, measurement technology, medical technology, precision engineering and aerospace. The right linear technology Every application requires the right linear technology. We offer a wide selection of linear technology products from various manufacturers for a multitude of possibilities. Furthermore, we do not just supply off-the-shelf products. We also offer custom mechanical machining according to your specifications, such as end machining, additional bores and threads, as well as butt machining.
Sealing technology
Seals play a crucial role in a wide range of industries. From the automotive industry to food processing right through to power generation. In a dynamic environment where precision and efficiency are essential, sealing technology offers solutions to prevent leaks, minimise contamination of the sealing system and ensure smooth operational processes. Seals made of elastomers, polyurethanes and thermoplastics are becoming increasingly popular in many areas of industry, often as early as the design phase. The main task of seals is to prevent unwanted media transitions and to exclude contamination of the sealing system. In order to provide customers with optimum support, a great deal of experience is required when designing a seal, taking into account a wide range of factors: from operating media, pressures and temperatures to speeds, surfaces and the right choice of material. Industrial applications are becoming increasingly demanding. For example, protection against product contamination by foreign particles is a top priority. Certified materials, for example for O-rings or flat gaskets such as FDA, EU 1935/2004, USP Ch. 87 + Ch. 88 - Class VI, DVGW, 3-A Sanitary Standard, drinking water approval, etc., can significantly minimise economic risks.
Lubrication systems
Systems require an optimal lubrication system to maximise availability. Without a proper lubrication system for bearings, chains and linear guides, leaks and high friction are inevitable, resulting in high wear of parts and machines. We supply everything you need for automatic lubrication systems or single nipple lubrication quickly and reliably. Our range of lubrication systems includes lubrication units, distributors, control and monitoring devices, fittings, pipes and hoses as well as commissioning greases. Smooth handling We record the precise facts and existing conditions on site and prepare an individual quotation, including a lubrication plan based on the same. Our service scope also includes delivery and support during commissioning as well as maintenance and support for the lubrication systems.
Adhesives, sealants and lubricants
Rounding off our product portfolio: adhesives, sealants and lubricants to maximise service life and run your machines as smoothly as possible. Adhesives provide a reliable and space-saving bond between materials of all kinds. Their secondary properties include damping vibrations and protecting against corrosion. Single- or dual-component adhesives can be processed in many areas thanks to their resistance to water or chemicals, for example, while sealants can also be used to bond together different products and materials and protect them from external influences. Numerous different products and manufacturers underline the need – as well as ongoing maintenance – to select the most suitable lubricant for the respective application, to prevent costly wear of machine elements due to corrosion or excessive frictional resistance.
Tools
To ensure safe and clean mounting and removal of roller bearings, we supply tools of all kinds: from manual tools such as impact sleeves or the appropriate mounting wrenches to hydraulic devices and inductive heating devices. Roller bearings are machine elements that are subjected to high loads and yet require high precision. As well as lubrication, sealing and maintenance, precise installation and removal using the right tools is essential to ensure roller bearings have a long service life and retain their full efficiency. In addition to lubrication failure, the most frequent cause of bearing damage is faulty mounting of roller bearings. Many problems and failures can be avoided by using the right tools, which also allows bearings to be installed or removed more quickly. Assemblies
Complete units instead of individual products: We offer our customers individually configured and manufactured assemblies, which are perfectly matched and precisely meet the respective requirements. Our customers determine which steps we take. Our service ranges from complete assembly redesign to optimisation and production. Assemblies offer almost unlimited possibilities: This may be a ball bearing mounted in a housing, paired on a shaft, or part of a complex mechanical unit, or the assembly may contain ground NILOS rings for sealing. We take care of the procurement and quality assurance for all components in an assembly and match them to each other. The advantages for our customers are obvious: assemblies reduce supplier, warehousing and all other costs.
